I got back from a one week vacation and found my 2001 allroad stuck in Manual Mode. When I press the up & down buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds, as suggested in the Owners Manual, nothing happens. Of course, if you hold both for 5 seconds you get jack mode. I tried putting in jack mode and driving (one way to disengage jack mode), but Manual Mode persisted. I also ran the allroad down to Level 1 and up to Level 4 to no avail. Any suggestions short of a dealer visit?

What do you mean "manual mode"?

I typically leave the allroad in Automatic mode as it automatically lowers at higher speeds. In fact, it's doubtful that I put it in Manual mode before leaving town.

it's 1 of the button(up or down) not both to get out of manual mode

I've never done it any other way. It lowers at speed. then back up when you slow.

It works! Manual does say or, not and, for buttons 1&3.

it's a 01' model year thing, 02' on don't have it
