Got 2004 ar 4.2 yesterday. First impressions.
Oddly enough, no turbo lag (I couldn't see any turbochargers under the hood. ) Otherwise eerily similar to my 2001 A6 4.2 sport. The ar is smoother riding and quieter, but doesn't handle as well as the A6. No surprise there. I wasn't expecting an S6. XM radio is nice. I wish the car had a Recaro seat for the driver. Fit and finish are superb. I'm awaiting four new Ronal R-38 wheels with Nokian WR 225/55-VR17 tires for winter use. Audi lease for 24 months was at 5.99 percent. Anyone want to buy a 2001 A6 4.2 sport?

Only at severe inclinations.
The car has only 125 miles. Until it gets to 1,000, I will baby it. I haven't noticed any tip lag. But then, I haven't even opened the hood.
