Default Great 2003 allroad MT for sale

In no way I am related to the seller. I was just surfing autotrader.com and found this CPO. I think it is a steal since I bought almost identical allroad one month ago!<ul><li><a href="http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=222102355&amp;dealer_id=60114157&am p;car_year=2003&amp;model=ALLRDQUA&amp;num_records =25&amp;make2=&amp;start_year=1981&amp;keywordsfyc =&amp;keywordsrep=&amp;engine=&amp;certified=&amp; bod

Default wow. that is a steal. /me runs around looking for $16k

I sent the guy an email. I'd have to sell mine pretty quick to make it happen though.

A steal of a deal. Since you are not 'related to the buyer' are you th' seller?

Default Last I heard, Audi was NOT transfering CPO warranty...

I heard that Audi was no longer transfering Audi Assured warranty to new owners as of sept. or Oct. of 2006. They still give the Audi Assured CPO when they sell a certified used car, but if that owner sells the car, Audi will not transfer it to the new owner.

Can anyone confirm this?

Default You are correct...

...they changed it soemtime last year, I cannot recall the exact month, but October sounds right. Anyway, near the end of the CPO booklet, it states:

<i>"The Audi Certified pre-owned Limited Warranty is non-transferable."</i>

It used to be transferable with a simple form and a small fee ($100?). Too bad.<ul><li><a href="http://www.audiusa.com/etc/medialib/cms4imp/audi2/aoa/product/certified_pre_owned.Par.0013.File.pdf">CPO booklet</a></li></ul>

Default ??? Being that I have been busy with work, and stuff at home I just transferred

mine last month even though I bought my allroad in October.

Sent AOA a $150 check, and the confirmation letter was mailed ou last week to me.

Default Like everything else, it seems to be inconsistent...

...just like the coverage itself! LOL! I am assuming that you bought it used and not from a dealer? That is good news for you, and I am not sure who else has been able to get it transferred, but at least you can rest easy.

IIRC its transferrable if the CPO was originally issued prior the 2006 change..

Default That makes sense, and good thing they did not make the change retroactive....

...as prior to the change, it was a major selling point to the CPO program. Maybe they are just paying too many claims on 2nd-hand CPO warranties, or they do not want dealers to have to compete with private sale CPO cars. Either way, it is too bad they took that away!
