Default Happy Birthday...

...to my allroad that is. One year ago today I took delivery of my allroad. In that time I have accumulated over 12000 miles and it still brings me smiles every day I drive it. It is unfortunate that other people are expriencing problems with their cars. I have only taken it in for service twice. The first time was to replace a broken cargo cover, fix a loose driver's side wiper arm, and re-seat a piece of wood trim. The second time was for the 10k service. All covered by warranty. No fluiid leaks, no tip lag, no vibration at speed, still smells like a new car. So take heart fellow (and future) allroaders, most of us do enjoy our cars. I only hope that Audi has something comparable in 5 to 7 years time when I am ready trade it in.

Default Oh crap...

I've had mine for 5 months, and just past 8k miles. Your post made me realize I'm on pace to hit 20k in year 1. Guess I need to start grabbing the keys to our 4runner more often. 8(

Default Ah, but mine was perfect its first year too........

I was so happy with mine after its first year that I bought my S4 that month. Now there has been so much go wrong my second year that I am afraid to get in it every day to find out what is currently breaking. Right now we are down to an intermittant low oil warning lamp (oil level full) and the return of the frequent alarm misfires. I am trying to decide if I am up for another 90 mile trip to the dealer or to just hope low oil warning stays off long enough to get it through a trade in.

Default The low oil light is a bad sensor, most likely...

...I've had two. You can get it replaced at a regular service interval. Apparently, they are a common problem with the 2.7T engine.

I sympathize with your predicament - been there, done that with another car. I must say my first experience with Audi has been very positive (dealership, service, the allroad itself). I only hope that it is so for the life of the car.

Default Have a piece of cake for me...

Hoping for a reasonably trouble free long-term experience myself. Contrary to normal wisdom, the earlier model year allroads seem to be doing better than the 03's I've read about in this forum.
