I ordered a Tanoga short shift from AWE. They told me it will work, of course I have to replace the clamp on stock **** with a screw on one. Doing a search it seems the stock **** and the boot are somehow installed together and I'm wondering how the boot will work with a screw on ****. Anyone done this? If not I will report my success/failure.

Default I am planning on it...

I have e-mailed UUC several times, inquiring about availability for the AR. I was told several months ago that one would be available "next month," but that has obviously not materialized. Let me know how yours works out.

I did the UUC short shift kit on my 2000 S4. Best $200 ever spent.

Default I did a UUC in my ar...

...but it is a pretty serious hack and I don't recommend it unless you know your way around a bench vice, hacksaw, flat file and needle file and have an afternoon to burn. That said, I'm happy I did mine. I had no idea it would take this long before UUC would come up with an ar kit. And it's still not out! They have my stock linkage and have for over a year.

Default I had the UUC in my S4 as well but noone seems to make one for the ar.

Thee UUC for the S4 was awesome. One of the best mods. Let us know how the Tanoga works out! I think the only issue is the clamp on **** vs. the screw on ****.

Default The biggest issue is getting the know separated from the boot...or you could probably just get a

boot from a 6 speed A6 if they make your color ( I don't think they make ecru for the A6 though)

Then you could use any **** that is a screw on for the S4's/A6's

B&amp;M now makes a short shift kit too<ul><li><a href="http://www.bmracing.com/noflash/products/shft_manual/audi.html">http://www.bmracing.com/noflash/products/shft_manual/audi.html</a</li></ul>
