Default Help please : Power dropping off for a second after WOT....

For about the past week, every time I floor it, I get about 1/2 a second of good normal power, then the power drops off a considerable amount for about a second, then surges back to full power until I lift my foot off the throttle.

I have no clue what this could be, no changes have been made and no work has been done to the car recently.

01, 96k, engine/ecu/fueling all 100% stock.

TIA

TBB? simple to check and I've found that I need to replace it every 6-8 months

Mine did that too. After the TBB check I had the fuel filter replaced and that worked.

Default Did you switch gas recently?

I have had similar symptoms as the motor pulls out some timing with a tank of bad gas.

Default Nope, frist thing I thought of too...

it's been consistent across a couple fill-ups of different brands.

Default yeah, I don't know why, but it "feels" like more of a fuel starve than a boost starve.

Good to hear a fuel filter solved your similar issue, thanks for the heads up.
