Default Help with sheared stud

I have just sheared off one of the three studs that hold on the protective shield for the suspension compressor (tucked behind the spare wheel well).
Can anyone tell me the best way to remove the stud/bolt so I can replace it?
Is there any access to the rear of this stud/bolt that I am not finding?

Not the compressor mounting bolts - there are 3 other bolts that hold on the plate that shields the compressor from road debris and dirt. I have sheared one of these smaller bolts that have a 10mm nut securing the shielding cover plate

Are you talking about these studs? If so I would just use the other two to mount the shield back on. They aren't holding anything heavy so two will do the job. If it was one of the outer studs that you broke off you may want to put a little bit of foam strip so you don't get any vibration rattles.

If you wanted to fix it you would probably need to grind down the broken stud and near by area. Get a bolt or all thread of the same size and pitch (cut the head off the bolt first) and weld it on in the same place. Spray some sealer so the area doesn't rust and you should be good to go.

Also, you could drill through the spare tire well that the studs are on and just run a bolt through the hole. You would risk water intrusion and rust in that area though.

yes - it is this plate (in the photo)
I think that I will use the two remaining studs and then use silicone to attach the corner
Thanks for you help
