Help! Translating automatic locking codes??**

Howdy all,

I have been dealing with a problem that you might be able to help me with. The automatic locking system on my '03 Allroad has been working intermittently. Sometimes the key fob works sometimes the locks automatically lock when I'm still in the car. I looked for codes and was wondering if anyone has a solution to these codes:

01374 Alarm via terminal 15

01369 Alarm via bonnet switch

01561 Door rear left sporadic does not unlock

01574 Alarm via door contact switch rear right

01573 alarm via door contact switch rear left

01366 opened via crash signal. open short circuit to positive

Can anyone point me to a solution to get the automatic locking system to work consistently again?

try clearing all those faults before anything to see what fault/s comes back
can you see if water has come inside the car specially under the carpet in the front of driver,s seat?
your descriptions points to that been a large possibility.

I'll look into that suggestion. I have noticed some pooling on the battery tray that may be the culprit? I've got time this wknd to clean that out.

I've also heard that the sunroof drain clogs as well, could anyone clarify on how to clean the sunroof drain out?

The sunroof drain tubes can get clogged. It also sometimes happens that the drain tubes simply come off their nipples at the sunroof catch basin/tray.

To unclog the tubes the easiest method is to use a length of weedwacker string pushed into the drain tubes from above. This worked great for me on the front tubes. The rear tubes were a bit hard to "find" but I was able to get the plastic string into the tube after a number of tries.

You'll need about 12 feet of weedwacker string to make handling easy.

Thanks guys I looked into the sunroof drain as a possible cause. Both drains are clear and flowing well. I will try to get my indi. to clear the codes and see if any remain if he hasn't already done so. I'll et you know how it goes.

Check the front plenum drains too, I lost an earlier Audi due to water incursion from the front drains coming in thru the HVAC system and killing the computers mounted in the floorboards.
