-Check out the September 9th, 2004 service bulletin sheet at your dealership; the one that was sent to the dealers regarding the TCM flash update that people have been requesting for the last 16 months!
--------------------------------------
Do you have any more details that would help the dealer locate this service bulletin?
Called 2 dealers so far - both claim they have no knowledge of a TCM service bulletin or recall. Even when I referred them to the Sept date they saw nothing there.
Had my ar vag-com'd yesterday and came up with a "1414" on the transmission module. I read this means old software, where updated TCMs would read something more like 1717 or 1718.
Address 02: Auto Trans
Controller: 4Z7 927 156 A
Component AG5 01V 2.715VT USA 1414
Coding: 00002
Shop #: WSC0000
No fault code found
Anyone know what the Coding: 00002 means, or have a different coding number?
I'll be calling the dealer to see if I can get my TCM flashed to newer software, in hopes this solves my wobble. I'm afraid they'll charge me to re-scan the system, and not sure if they'll flash the TCM without making me go through ZF, AoA, etc. But we'll see...
