Default hopefully my final chapter in my brake search - help me pick between these two options

and help me with reasons why you prefer what you do:

1) Stasis tracksport 13" setup with monoblock 4 piston calipers with

or 2) Stasis motorsport 14" setup monoblock 6 piston calipers

the 14" kit will cost me more and will require me to run 18's year-round, but will give more performance, and FWIW, will look better too.

also, note - either of these options will be paired with a Stasis 11.7" rear kit.

Default can't have too much in this department

if you can afford it get the 6 piston calipers with 14 inch rotors.

Default Could always get both!

Get the 6 pots and run the 14 in the summer under your 18's, and switch to 13's under your 17's in the winter. I run the 13" rotor year round now and it's perfectly fine for street use, but if I can ever get to a track, I'll slap on the 14" rotor.

If you don't plan on tracking the car, I'd say the 13" rotor with either the 4 or 6 pot will be fine, and you'd still be able to run 17's in the winter.

Default either one is going to be killer. How often you track the car is the deciding factor.

I'm very happy with my 332 4-pot's, and like the flexibility with regard to 17's and 18's.

Default What's their (stasis/alcon) rear brake option? Alcon caliper and rotor? Or...

S4 rear caliper w/braket and stasis rotor which is what Dan Farmer has.

Go with the 6-pot setup and see if you can work a group-buy for a complete 4-wheel set up. I might be onboard for that.

Default the Dan Farmer Special their 11.7 rear rotor, hat, bracket, etc. with the S4 caliper

I don't know about the group buy, I'll be doing this through my local shop which is a Stasis reseller.

Default Don't Skimp when it comes to Braking !! Go for the biggest and ......

Best you can afford. I don't Track it at all but I went for Biggest I could afford for my A6 which was the ECS Tuning Stage4 Kit with the Massive 6 pot Cayenne calipers and large Floating Rotors. For $1900.00 I think thats a good deal. The other day in the AR I had to drop my anchor from about 100mph and there was a scary amount of brake fade. I plan to add the Stage4 Kit to the AR as soon as I can afford it. 18" Rims are a must and very close. 19's are would be Ideal......

Default

that is the one I wanted, but the template for that setup rubs on the 18" RS4 rims. :-(

Default For street or street/track? If just for street, the 13" will be fine. But if you'll do any track

go for the 14". I had the Stoptech 332 (13") and they were fantastic on the street (Steve_AG Arrow has 'em now). But, I could easily cook them on the track. Just not enough surface area for cooling. Could boil the fluid in a run session.
