how do you remove the entire rear door ashtray
in a 02 AR? Both of mine are broken. Dealer quoted a price of $70 each for the tray and door lid. Is there a clip to take the entire assembly out or do I have to remove the door?

very easy....
...there are two vertical slats that need to be bent inward(I think) with a flathead screw driver...and the entire tray / door lid will come up.
FYI - there will be a 2-wire harness attached to the bottom for the light -- it pulls right out...very easy.
i would check with shokan.com for a replacement.
I might have two grey/black ones...left over from a project. drop me a note.
