I got me a line on an exhaust for my allroad... LLTek coming soon... (long)
A buddy that I met at WetWorksGarage (he's on the forums here and there as Podendum) has an LLTek exhaust that he's going to be switching out. Turns out he's sponsored by many different vendors and is getting a different exhaust.
We haven't talked $$$ yet, but I'm sure it will be a fair deal. Probably have it within the next few weeks.
Here are the details from their website:
..Dual system
..2.5" T304 Stainless Steel piping
..Mandrel bent (woohoo!)
..Single 3.5" chrome polished tip per side, angle cut, inward bevel, resonated
..Stainless Steel mufflers (2) and resonators (2), 16-gauge steel, welded construction
..Uses OE hanging points
..Stainless Steel hangers
..Black Hi-temp paint finish nice...
..All mounting hardware included
..Free Flow air filter included
..Weight savings approx.
..HP increase of 15 (with 94/5 Ron) and 25 with LLTEK Cold Air Induction Kit
..Approximate installation time: 1 hour (professional)
..Lifetime warranty to original purchaser (proof of purchase required) oh well...

This pic shows the "mod" for older 2.7t models without the valence-through exhausts. Should be a simple bolt-on application for the allroad.
He also has the cold air induction kit pictured below that he may be getting rid of too. If he does, should I install this too? I've heard mixed reaction to these kits. Some say it's great, others say it actually hurts performance because it's bringing in hot engine compartment air. I'd appreciate any thoughts on this.
