I love turbo weather. Left the house this morning with temps

the stock intake is a cold air intake.
Most alternatives may increase a bit of the air volume, but for the most part all the mods are using engine bay air which, due to the principals of the internal combustion engine, tends to be a tad hotter than outside air.
The best way to increase the CAI volume is a pseudo Darintake. Get flex ducting and bring it to the outside of the engine bay, perhaps behind the front passenger fog light housing.

Install a shut off value in case you try to ford any deep water....
You can push water up to the bump with the stock setup. People with older Ford Explorers learned the hard way when they pumped water into their intakes and destroyed their engines because the OEM air snorkle was located by the bumper.

With the allroad having a intake at the hood/grill line, it would not suck water in from lower
homemade intake hose though since lower hose would just fill to water line while air would be sucked in from point of easiest access, the intake at hood. Think of trying to suck liquid through a straw with a hole in it above liquid line.
