Default Inexperienced indie shop for air spring job?

I need a front air spring for my '04 allroad. The dealer wants $1300(!) for the job. A local euro-car shop, who is familiar with Audis (but hasn't done an airspring), will be much cheaper and will let me buy the part myself. This shop is next to my office, too. Another indie shop has done an air spring, or two, is farther away and just a little less than than the dealer.

My queation is, is the air spring job straightforward enough to let shop #1 do the job?

Thks, DW

Replacing front air springs is pretty straightforward; most people DIY and it takes about an hour to replace one so I'm sure any competent euro shop can handle it.

If you're getting an Arnott, they have video instructions for their air springs on their website that your indy can view before the install.
