Default Interesting conversation with Audi Financial Svcs about end of lease incentives....

So I called AFS today to extend my lease a month (just don't have time to deal with it by 4/18 lease-end). No problem extending a month.

But, the incentive they offered if I buy the car is getting better. Last month it was just 2.9-6.9% financing.
This month it's $2,000 AMEX gift card and financing. So that brings my effective buyout down to almost reasonable at $17,900.

My Audi Assured warranty is good to May 2008 so this may be the easiest way for me to go. Now if I could get them to throw in an OE hitch, I'd be all set.

Default I don't know if you missed some of the recent post, but the euro hitch should work...

I have one sitting here just waiting for the wiring harness to arive.

But I did a compare and contrast with the euro hitch and the US hitch and it looks pretty good..

the biggest problem is where to hook safety chains...

Default Got a similiar deal when we bought out our A4 a couple of years ago

Gift card was $1,500 which helped make the decision easy. Ended up selling it a few months later for the balance due to AFS as I wanted to get the AR.

Default Should I buy my AR 2004 2.7?

My lease ends 4/15. I have 26k on the car and can buy it for 23.5k.
Is there any advice you can offer on how to get the deal you were offered? If I could get that deal I think I would buy my car.

Wonder if those incentives are good for those who want to buy out the lease?

Default The real bottom line on this car....

if you really love the car and are willing to put up with its quirks and expenses and you have an extended warranty to get you by for a while after the Audi one is done then buy it....if you question in your mind whether you can afford the repairs or you are not totally in love with this strange beast walk away. IMHO
