Default Interesting find over the weekend....

I was down in Williamsburg this past weekend visiting the in-laws for Father's Day. We went out to dinner and I drove. When we returned, I shut down the car / lights and went in the house. When I came back out (10 minutes later), I noticed a light shining from the back of my car. I walk around and see that my license plate lights are still on (WTH?). I checked the switch, and noticed that I can turn it just a "tad" bit to the right, just to turn on the plate lights - only. New to me, but has anyone ever come across this as well? Haven't looked it up in the manual either, so no flaming please.

Default in mercedes you can leave either the left or right parking lights on when your parked so people can

see ur car if ur parallel parked in a dark area. you do this by turning the switch one or two notches to the left of the off position. probably the same type of feature

It's not a bug, it's a feature!

Default Weird. Does is seem like a 'feature' or a fluke?

Meaning is there a detent in the switch at that location or you are able to just turn it a little to a position it isn't supposed to rest in.

Default Just tried. Mine won't do it. The switch pops itself to off or first full click.

it will not stay in between on its own and even if I hold it there the plate light does not come on.

Default to be honest, I think it's a fluke.

I checked the switch, there doesn't appear to be a set "notch" if you will, but I'm able to replicate (that's a word, isn't it?) it almost every time I try.

I'm gonna try to run down and read the manual if I can break away for lunch.
