Default It's about time, I said hello to everyone..

bought a 2002 allroad 6-speed a few weeks ago. Came with all the options including a Garmin 2610. Sofar, I put on about 2,500 miles and I am very satisfied, averaging 21.7 mpg on mostly 2 lane country roads.
I would like to install a short shifter, which one would you guys recommend?

Thanks

Default Welcome to the club!...(answers inside)

There are two short shifters that i would say are the most popular - Toy Guy's SS and Tanoga, do a search on both, you can get a lot of info!
Again, congrats on the addition to your stable!

Default Me too!! Re: It's about time, I said hello to everyone..

I've posted here a few times... but rudely I never introduced myself officially... so here goes:

A little over a month ago I bought a 2001 allroad with approx 50k miles on it. It was a one-owner, off lease vehicle... in great condition. It has all options except a sunroof.

I also have a 1992 Audi 100S with 211k miles on it. I sold my 1990 Porsche 944S2 to help pay for the allroad. Sure, I'll miss it, but the allroad is the right vehicle for me right now... given that I have three little boys (4, 2, and 9 months).

So far, I love the car (except for the 45mph wobble and the less-than-perfect-shifting tiptronic). Also, this forum has been great. I appreciate the comaraderie and the information... both of which seem fantastic.

I look forward to many enjoyable years with the allroad... and with you folks here on this board.

Happy allroading!!
