Default I'm sure he was referring to brake/throttle/lag problem which is complained about heavily.

Tips are still slow though! : )

Default Ditto for me. BTW I also complained about the torque converter/tranny issues

while I had he on the phone..

Default I could be wrong, but I think the fading display which happens from outside in, can be fixed IIRC

someone on 1 of the boards claims it is caused by loose connections. The DIS problem with missing pixels is another problem all together.

Default gearing and final drive ratio...

all of this has to do with the stress it can handle. I think our's being shorter geared and shorter final, gives it a longer life under stress.

Default I would think the opposite, shorter gearing multiples torque more which should add more stress.

I really don't think it will make much difference either way. There are only a few sure things in life, you're born, you pay taxes, you die, 6 speeds are definitely faster. : )
