Should I buy the ones from Audi accessory? Any other suggestions?
here is what I have right now. I just want to make sure the crossbars I get are compatible.
thanks!
p.s. the attachment clips at the bottom of the rack will be taken off, that was for my old pathfinder.

The latest that Thule is offering with the brushed aluminum is the <a href="http://www.rackattack.com/product/RB47_Thule_47_Inch_Rapid_Load_Bars.htm">Aero RB47 bars</a>.
It would appear that they are the direct equivalent of the Thule 861 available everywhere else in the world.
If you do not have a matching footpack then you will have to get the <a href="http://www.rackattack.com/product/450R_Thule_Rapid_Crossroad.htm">Thule 450R</a> as well.

hey question, which model crossbars are these...
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/73217/side.jpg"></center><p>sorry I borrowed the pic from the poster... these seem to be what I need though.
Im getting confused with the different size bars and what foot mounts I need to buy. right now Im just looking for a silver crossbar that will attach to the existing audi bars.
did the crossbars you had come with the mounts, or did you have to buy them seperatley?
thanks for your help guys.

I've modified my old Landrover Discovery 2 cross bars to fit.
You then end up with the cross bars at the same height as the rails not on top.
I don't have pictures just now but here's a link and you can see what I mean.
I'll post pics next week when I get home.<ul><li><a href="http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DISCOVERY-SERIES-2-LOCKABLE-CROSS-RAILS_W0QQitemZ4603620355QQcategoryZ31348QQssPageN ameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem">http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DISCOVERY-SERIES-2-LOCKABLE-CROSS-RAILS_W0QQitemZ4603620355QQcategoryZ31348

those actually came with the car when I bought it
Dealer says that they're OEM (Thule). I didn't even have the key for them, so they went bye-bye with the car when I traded it in. Sorry, but that's all the information I've got re: those bars. T
