Default MY CAR IS BEING FLAT-BEDDED IN 10 MINS...quick question...

...sorry for yelling. My driver side front airbag is FLAT and the car is all the way down on the stop. The flat bed is coming right now...are there any specific instructions for the tow driver? Jack mode? etc?

Thanks,

Joe

I am about to run out and check manual as well. thank you.

Default When I had that, I put in Jack Mode (stops susp. activity). Difficulty is that

with a corner so low you have no approach angle. If the car will raise up some, try that before loading.

Default I just read an earlier post, maybe I will poke holes in other 3 to even out?...

...just kidding, I should not be joking right now, this is a serious matter.

Thanks, I will see if compressor pumps it up and lock it in jack mode for it's ride to dealer.

Default Sure, just drive to the dealer - suspensions are overated: in Detroit we have lots of

pretty old Lincolns (Mark VII and Continental) driven around the city flat to the ground on the bump stops by folk too poor to care or afford to fix or replace the car after the air bag suspension failed. Almost as funny as those old Caddys driven with the a** way up in the air once the self-levelling rear shock system fails and goes to the fully raised position. Ah, Detroit. . .

Default If the pump won't get'r up....

I found that jacking that corner of the car and cycling the suspension to one of the higher settings worked. It allowed the lobe in the air bag to extend past the hole which then sealed somewhat. I managed to drive 200miles home after doing this. The compressor ran more than normal but was not running continuously.

Just thought it might help someone out in the future.

Cheers
Gregor
