I have a '96 A4 Quatro. Recently, the oil light started coming on. It is off at idle but comes on at 1600 rpm and higher. Once on, it will go off when the rpm drops below 1500. I've checked the pickup screen, replaced the oil pressure sending unit, checked the oil pressure with a mech gauge and the pressure is within the limits. There are no strange sounds coming from the engine. I'm at a loss...please help.
