Default New here with some questions

I just bought a 04' Allroad and I'm getting ready to sell my 99 Avant. Can anyone here tell me if I can use the 99 CD trunk changer in my new car?
Second, does anyone know if the H&R sway bars of my 99 fits the 04' Alrroad?
Thanks
Alex

Default Welcome. Not sure about the CD changer, but

the H&R bars "could" fit. I'm sure the front bar will fit fine, but the rear may or may not. It will bolt up fine, but the air compressor might hit the bar. When Hotchkis designed the H-Sport bars, they had to create a unique rear bar for the allroad with a slightly different shape. I do know that the PSK (A6 sport suspension) rear bar was the common upgrade for most of us before the H-Sports, and we all had to slightly move our compressors to avoid the compressor rattling against the sway bar. Guess the best thing would be to try it on.

Default the CD Change probably will not fit...

This is an educated guess based on other VAG CD changers over the years. The end plug of the cable is different as of 01 than it was prior to 01. However, there may be an adapter plug available. Look at the cable end and see if it is the same as the plug on the changer.

Default

the 04 will not have a cable standard actually, so you'd have to buy that anyway

Default The 2004 also does not have the CD changer cable running...

to the back. You will have to install. Since you will have to run the wire you may want to look in to getting one that will work with your changer. Doesn't your 2004 have the 6 cd changer in the dash?
