Default Yup, just keep it shiny side up until you get it fixed

My dealer informed me before AoA, so the word is out there.

Rush it in, though, IF you smell or see raw fuel as you could have the leak.

Someone posted this several weeks ago, I was just posting the "official" word.

Default Car already at the dealer...they have no record of this recall...

What to do? Is it possible that a 2005 4.2 wouldn't be included in the recall since it doesn't come up when they run my VIN? Would be nice to get it taken care of now to save having to drop it off at a later date.

Default The recall includes the '05 allroad with the 4.2

I just spoke with my dealer and they have the tooling but do not have the parts yet.

I wonder if I can ignore this recall just like the dash fire recall?

Default YOur dealer sucks as all A6 chassis cars are under recal, known for months, and AoA

is mailing out forms.

Default Had my gas tank changed for this very reason some time ago.....

.....spent a bazillion dollars on repair (okay, $4,500) so thaks for the heads up. Called AoA and will make a claim.

Default You would think it's all C5, yet AoA swears neither friend's nor my old S6 are included. Friend

had to replace tank, too, for this very reason. I'm filing a complaint on his and my S6 new owner's behalf, after I confirm that the fuel tank part number is universal for the S6 and the 4.2 models.
