saw an M5 over the weekend. drove right next to it at stop light. Young guy driving it while talking on cellphone. (what a surprise) anyway, it basically is hideous. BUT....those brakes. Those brakes are magnificent. fronts and rears fill up the wheels and they are both cross-drilled and the binders are huuuge. Something about bimmer wheels with a little dish to them. and those brakes -- Truly beautiful. The rest was very non-descript. oh, and I beat him off the line! hehe...

Only the SMT type...I am ok with the looks. The M5 is a killer car.

when i was dropping off my wife's mini. i think it looks pretty good, but the previous body style i absolutely loved. anyway, the salesman overheard me talking about the m5 and he decided to tell me about it. the most interesting thing he said was that for the 1st 1500 miles the computer will not let you have access to all the horsepower the car can make. after 1500, the restriction is lifted and an additional 100 horses are yours. i didn't realize car manufacturer's were controlling the break-in period these days!
