Default Painted Cladding

I had a question about how much it would cost to paint all my cladding black to match the rest of my AllRoad?

Powdercoating sticks to aluminum very well. Very durable too.

Default the plastic moldings?

If this is what you are talking about, it depends on how the job is done.

The cheap way is to mask the car and spray the plastic. My shop quoted about 500.00 for this.

The RIGHT way is to remove all the plastic part; bumpers, fender flares, rocker moldings, etc. and then paint them. This was over $1000.00.

Best to ask a few good shops in your area.

I was thinking of matching the fender flares and bumpers to match the body color, how much could it be?

I agree that removing the parts and painting them then re-installing is the way to go. I'm actually in the process of doing this very job right now myself with my 03. The paint color I picked was 03' Nissan Maxima Gray. I have 1/2 the parts painted already and the rest will follow in a day or so. Materials wise you're talking about $200 but the R&R is another 2 days added. Then of course there's 2 days cure time for the paint so if anybodies thinking of doing this job, please note it'll take a good week to complete; 1 or 2 days to remove everything, 1 or 2 days for prep, 1 day to paint, 2 days for cure, and 1 or 2 days to install. FYI - I was quoted $1,200 from a local shop to do it but I was affraid they'd simply mask off the car and shot it. I also have my own paint guns, compressor, DA sander, etc and I do aoutmotive paint from time to time anyhow, mostly motorcycles. If I were to take on such a job for a friend or whatever I would charge them $1,000 easily cause there's a good amount of time involved. If a shop will do it the right way for $1,000 I'd say it's a good price.

I'll post pictures when I'm done.

Default Just did the "full body paint" on a optioned full body paint ar...

Was in a minor fender bender and settled with the other owner with cash. Since it was factory optioned full-body paint, I ask the shop to paint the grey strip for both front and rear. The chrome strip under the headlight, the whole grill black. While the headlight was out, I did the clear corner mod as well. Now the car looks meaner without the signal bulbs on all the time but still works when I signal. Check my picture poster for the before pictures. These are the after pictures taken by my cell (Need to get a new camera since my ex took mine)
