Default Passenger side mirror problem

We just got a 2004 allroad and love it. I have one concern tho relating to the passenger side mirror. It doen't seem to tilt inward enough so when my wife drives she has a problem seeing the side of the car to reference what she is seeing.

I took it to my dealer who said there is no adjustment that he know of that would allow it to tilt inwards more. I remember in my previous Audis that I could simply press on the inside edge of the mirror and it would give a ratcheting sound and would allow me to adjust the mirror.

Any ideas?

We're planning to take the allroad from West Michigan out to Estes in a few weeks for color. Can't wait to drive it in the mountains.

Default I think the concensus here is that if you can see the sides of your car...

while sitting in normal driving posltion your mirrors are adjusted in too far. It takes a while to get used to but I lean my head against the driver window and adjust the mirrors to see the sides, then lean toward the center of the car and adjust the passenger side the same. Do a search for mirror adjustments and the rarional will be explained.

Default Great link...(I changed the subject line LOL)

Humor asside.. I too have always said the passenger mirror doesn't go in far enough. (5ft 6in) for myself.

Reading this link shed som light that I to have the "security zone" factored in.. that Ineed to se a touch of the car's side in the mirror to judge. I'll change them a bit and see how it goes.
Thanks,

Default I always adjust mirrors so I can see the blind spot....

I do not like looking completely over my shoulder to see what is next to me. I like to just turn my head barely and then check the mirror.
