Default I seem to recall 42f and 38r for performance and 36 or 38 all around for comfort.....

but that's just hearsay, I don't have 'em.

On the track, I ran 44f 40r... 39f, 37r on the street so as not to wear the centers away...

Default Yeah... that's for load bearing, not performance... =)

The problem being, under highly "spirited" driving the front tires just fold over...

This picture illustrates how far over the tires were worn, after some track use. Cold (front tire) pressure 44, Hot pressure 50.5. This is too high a pressure for the street, unless one plans to do nothing but corners. With lower pressures on the track, the highly scuffed area would have come much further over onto the sidewall.

Default your tires are bordering on too wide for the rim width.........

higher pressures up front will decrease sidewall rollover and improve turn in and decrease understeer.

Default No way dude! You're copying me...

Heh, yeah right. =)

If you hadn't thrown some track knowledge my way about allroad tire setup, I'd still be plowing through corners on the front sidewalls, with the rear end buldging and hopping on every ripple... ;-)
