Protecting the fender flares, bumpers and flat black roof revisited...

What's wrong with Armor-All?
Call me naive, but what' s wrong with good old fashioned armor-all?
I've applied a light coat to the bumpers, flares & roof & it looks great. Although I guess It probably won't last long.
But while we're on the topic....when I picked up my AR , some glue marks were left on the roof. I removed the excess surface glue easily with WD-40, but some stains were left behind that I can't get rid of.. I've tried polish, wax & armor-all but nothing seems to work. I'll eventualy bring it back to the dealer (who's 90 minutes away), but I'd like to tackle this one myself.

Do a search on the detailing forum, you can read about how bad armor-all is for hours...........
basically it contains silicone oils and this leads to drying and cracking of rubber and plastic parts leading you to use armor-all more often.
