Default quick survey: full body paint on 2005s... cool? or softens the look?

just wanted to hear opinions on the full body paint style of the 05's vs. the gritty-gray style trim of the pre-05's. any cosmetic run-ins with either trim?

Default Matter of taste. I like it (on my 2004).

I think the gray looks a tad more "outdoorsy."

I think it depends on the body color honestly, some look better than others

Default I have seen some heavily mod'd allroads w/ big wheels where I like it, but generally I like 2-tone

Makes the allroad look unique, tough and like something that can tackle a trial... plus the two tone IS tougher, more scratch resistant.

But all in all it just depends what your going for... My AR will see plenty of snow and trail duty, I plan on keeping some tough tires and the two tone as long as I have it...

Default Same here - on my '05.

I did get the mud guards for fear of nicking up the full body painted parts though.

It's a matter of taste. I like them both.

Ditto. Modded etc like dougavant's, then full body paint. Rugged, then 2 tone is 'stouter' IMO

Default I think the full-body makes it look more like a car (ie A6 avant) - I like 2-tone better.

Although I do have the full-body Highland myself...
