Radiator follow up....
It's fixed, sealed and installed w/o removing the front Bumper, so there you have it ;-) Total cost= $45.00 + my own time, about 5 hours or so.
Fortunately, I've had G12 in stock so no aditional costs here, also by disconnecting the Transmission Oil cooler lines the loss was insignificant. Checked the AT level - O.K.
Besides aligning the Oil Cooler (RS4 OEM model sitting exactly under the radiator), everything went smooth. No hassle to re-install the radiator when a bit of caution is applied. Remove the passenger side Intercooler to Throttle body pipe and it's really easy.
Attention must be paid towards all the cable and wiring routes to remount it in a proper place.
I found one cable (Condenser fan) started rubbing on the Main (belt driven) fan and displayed the blank wire. This cable was cut out, replaced and rewired again.
Please keep in mind that this bad cable was captured before the radiator removal, so it was sitting in it's factory wired position. I just mention this fact because it is wise to check frequently on these things, should this cable have been cut entirely, it could also contribute to destroy the main fan.
The cable is normally held into position by metal clamp on the driver's side of the Radiator, this clamp seems to have a tendency to get lose over time, so just keep an eye on it ;-)

So can the viscous fan be replaced without removing the bumper?
While changing my timing belt yesterday I found that my fan has several cracks in it. I figure I better replace it before I follow in gragravar's tracks and suffer fan-induced mayhem. I didn't look that close at the possibility of replacing it with the bumper in place.

Re: So can the viscous fan be replaced without removing the bumper?
After removing/tilting the Radiator and Condensor I had clear access to the fan, maybe removing the Driver side Intercooler-Throttle body plastic hose would help for better access. But aren't the fan blades just bolted in with a few 8mm bolts? If so, that should be doable w/o removing the bumper, I'd certainly give it a try.
