Hi there:

Just ordered a Britax Marathon for my munchkin and it's time to get a seat protector of some sort. I was wondering if anyone had a favorite? Also, if anyone can recommend a travel tote for this car seat (essentially the same as a Roundabout - just a little bigger).

I got a dog seat protector at Pet Smart. They're about $30, come in either Gray or Tan. They're waterproof, and *completely cover the backseat (seat bottoms and back) and you can tuck all edges in securely. Even has holes for the seat belt buckles. It's amazing that the gray matches perfectly to my 2-tone gray/black interior.

It is indispensable.

About once every few months we'll take it out, hose it off and scrub any crap off with a brush, let it dry overnight, and put it back on.

ANOTHER TIP: Get the all-weather mats, and then go to Target or Walmart & get a black square $3 rubber floor mat, and cut out to fit the drivetrain hump in the rear. This saves your carpet there from the pilling, muck, etc. that comes from lil tykes trampling across it!
