That has been my thought also. I don't believe in letting a car warm up more than a minute or so. The seats warm so quickly in the ar I figured that with a remote starter by the time I walk to the last parking lot at work it's ready to go when I get there. Also I guess it really hasn't been that cold yet (-2f at most) so probably not worth it. Just wanted to know if any one had successfully installed one.

Definite help
We had the dealer instal one on ours. Its very nice to go out to a warmed up car after work and not worry about someone stealing car with the keys in it. Spend the extra money and get a two way system.

if you want to heat up your car, check out www.webasto.com
these heaters run on the car's fuel and have been around in Europe for a long time. my brother-in- law (lives in Finland) has one installed in his saab. he has the telephone based remote control option (probably not available in U.S.), with just a call from his cell phone the car heats up.
