Default Run away allroad...please read!!!!

So now for the 4th time in as many days the 2001 tiptronic allroad has roared off similar to the way the 5000s of old Audi days did. It seems to happen in first or second gear only, slow speeds under 20mph. The car quickly lunges forward at near full throttle and the only to stop the car is to knock the shifter into nuetral and turn the car off! After doing this, which of course is not the easiest nor the more reassuring after turning the car back on and deciding to continue to drive to work, the car drives as if normal. Now I know this sounds strange and maybe isolated but after calling the Audi dealer about it, they seemed not to act surprised to hear about the problem. The car is going in tomorrow and being looked at on Monday but needless to say we are not driving the allroad. I wanted to see if any other allroad or 2.7T drivers had experienced this issue. I hope not....Thanks.

If it is true... then you're the ONLY one with that problem.

Default did you try applying the brakes while your allroad was "running away"?

Forget which mag did the tests years ago during the unintended bs but they showed that stopping distances from any speed increased only very slightly if the throttle remained full open. Do you have wide feet?

I hope so but from how the dealer sounded it sounds like he has eitehr seen it or heard of it before. As he told me to bring it in and he would get it fixed, but hehas yet to see how the car behaves.
As to using the brake while the car is "running away", that may work but the car is under heavy throttle and it doesnt stop until the car is turned off. I have checked mat and I have checked the gas pedal. nothing unusual. I hope I am the ONLY one but....it is an Audi

Wide feet! That is a good one. Yes I have wide feet but I dont think my foot is that "heavy".

Default Ploglet - question fer ya

In the post below you say you're going to go look at an allroad (presumably to buy it). Question is why would someone with an 01 S4 Silver/Black, 01 Allroad Green and a 97 993 C4S NEW!! Want to purchase yet another allroad?

So you have 3-4 cars, all of them late model and 2 allroads? So do you see this problem on your second allroad as well?

Another question, why would you ask for MPGs on an allroad (in the post referenced below) if you already owned one? I'm really confused.
