Seat Heater Controls, 2003 allroad
Who's correct: the manual or the dealer?
p. 183 of the '03 allroad manual clearly states "when the (seat) heating element is activated, the numbers on the thumbwheel will illuminate."
My dealer (McDonald in Denver) says "the manual is incorrectly translated" (Ich denke daß sie Deutsch nicht sprechen... voll idioten!!), and while "there is illumination for the thumbwheels, this occurs *only* when the dash lites are on" -- the illumination has no reference to whether or not the heaters are in use.
I'd love to have thumbwheels that lite up when the heaters are on... especially if I put something heavy on the passenger seat. Same request for the rear seats.
Anyone have experience here? Does anyone actually have thumbwheels that operate the way the manual says they are supposed to??

Funny thing about that English manual... the good folks at Audi Customer Care indicate the printed English manual is "totally and completely 100% correct", and further they (a month ago) promised to mail me a letter clearly stating this in writing.
