Uncomfortable compared to our 2.7T seats...
I have an A6 2.7T, my wife an allroad.
We both greatly prefer the A6's seats.
We were disappointed when we realized
that the seats were not the same (and
not an improvement!).

Re: Seats
when i drove it home from the dealer last month the first thing i noticed was the stiffness of the sides of the seats crushing in on my butt and thighs and i was sore from the 30 mile drive home. it took a week for me to get used to them and now it is less noticeable. i do think that they are not the best seats ive had. i almost bought the volvo xcountry instead because their seats were more comfortable. i decided on the allroad though because it is far superior in every other aspect. im getting used to the seats now but havent driven over 100 miles yet in any stretch. i dont look forward to long trips though.

Re: Uncomfortable compared to our 2.7T seats...
My wife drives an A4 (2.8 Sport w/leather) and when I get into it I immediately notice how much harder the seat is compared to the allroad. Not uncomfortable per se, but it does have much less of a seat cushion. So everything is relative, and ideal seat design is a very personal preference - our bodies are all different. I happen to prefer the allroad's seats over any other car I've ever owned.

ar seats = soft
I have an A4 2.8qts with sports seats and love the wrap around feeling and support they offer. The ar's seats in comparison seem soft, but mercifully not as soft as the barca-loungers in the regular A6. Each to his own!
