Default Sell versus trade-in - 2001 allroad

I am planning to buy a full size SUV. I love my allroad but with a dog and kids, I need more room for the whole family. I bought my Atlas Gray allroad new in Sept. of 2001 and it only has 11,500 miles. Car has Tip, sunroof, premium package, convenience package, Bose, rear airbags and stonegard. Car is in flawless condition and I have had zero problems.

Is the used car market very strong for allroads (I live in Oregon) and if I sell it myself, what do you think is a fair price?

Default Sell or Trade ?

I was going to trade my 2003 AR 6-speed on the RS 6. "WAS" is the operative word here. I was offered a paltry $31,000.00 !! This perfect example had only 7500 miles on the clock.

Needless to say I kept the Allroad and realized that it would have been a mistake to give it up. The RS 6 is a great car and a gas to drive but nothing matches the utility of the Allroad. I need a bigger garage.

Default I am at this point as well but I have 15 months left on a lease

Dealer offered $29k trade-in; could get as much as $33k-$34K selling outright but have a buyout of $33+K. I have seen them for as much as $38K in the Seattle area.
In my case the dealer suggested I offer the car as "take over lease" being that my payments are less than $600. I am really not going to put any cash in my pocket either way so I may just do that rather than have to add cash to the trade-in to get out.

A rooftop box would be cheaper.

Default Agree, just get one of those cool looking rooftop boxes

No SUV except for maybe the X5 4.6 and Porsche Cayenne Turbo, can match the allroad for utility and performance. And both the P car and B car are not exactly spacious either.

If you need space, you need a Suburban. But that thing is a pig compared to the allroad. There is NO joyful driving experience with those vehicles. I know, I have a Tahoe.
