Shimmi in Stearing

Shimmi in Stearing
I have a 2003 Alroad with 22,000 miles on it and have a shimmi in the stearing. The dealer has balanced the wheels and done a realignment but the shimmi is still there. Does anyone have the same problem and solved it? Any Idea what causes this and the solution?
Thank you for your response.

Few questions for diag..
1) did you recently change your tires ?
2) did you try to road force balanced them ?
3) what speed is the shimmi? 45/55MPH?
4) is the shimmi present in 4th and 5th shift or 5th only ?
5) 6speed or Tip ?<ul><li><a href="http://www.gsp9700.com/">Road Force Balance information : worked for me...</a></li></ul>

There has been a bit of history on this...
Try to diag. as Jerome B listed. Owners have had MANY parts replaced in fixing this, all at Audi's cost. Some people have had this so bad that Audi has repurchased the allroad.
Check as per Jerome B and get your dealer to become you freind in this hunt.
