Should I buy 2013 Allroad?
Hey everyone,
I'm looking at the new Allroad as a possible replacement for my '06 A4. My hope is that it'll give me extra space and cargo area while still being fun to drive.
My biggest concern is the size of the Allroad's backseat. I'm 6'2'' and want a back seat big enough to fit someone myself if I'm driving. Do you think that will be a problem in the new Allroad?
its hard to get a feeling based on photos of the backseat.
appreciate any thoughts.

The new allroad is very similar if not exactly same size as A4 Advant. Back seat area would be similar to A4 sedan I'd imagine. With that, someone 6.2" tall may not enjoy riding in rear seats for very long. My advise, get the A6 Advant; plenty more room.

If you have that person sit behind the front passenger seat--- you'd probably be okay, otherwise it's gonna be tight.

The 2013 Allroad is based on the A4 platform. However, the new A4 platform is larger than your 2006 A4, so the car offers more legroom in the back than yours.
Why not go to the dealership and sit in one? Nobody will answer this question better than you will yourself.
The downward curvature of the roof towards the back will limit how much you can carry in the Allroad, but it's still better than your A4.
A6 Allroad is larger, and better suited to your needs, but the last year of that model is 2005. The newer ones were never imported to North America.
