Default Should I trade in my 2.7t for a 05 4.2 allroad?

difference is about $8k. I have 62k miles and the 05 got 52k commuting miles. A little bit concerned with the high mileage driven in the last few years, but there is nothing mechanically wrong the 4.2. How much different is the 2.7 vs 4.2? I'm looking at ending the BTL for good.

Default Yes.

my mom's allroad is an 04 4.2. Shocks seem stiffer - like they figured out the earlier models were too soft. (this is just a seat of the pants theory) Tranny has no btl. Engine is magnificent. Sound is also magnificent. Tip mode is fun. Less can go wrong with the car. In a few years, If I don't have a ton of cash on hand, I might take my mother's car off her hands. Feel free to point out how funny it is that I drive the same car as my mom.

Do it. JMO

Default No, that would be too easy:) I'd rather point out that

at least you drive (in some writers' opinions the manly version) and hers has oh no, the dreaded "chicktronic"....

BTW my 13 year old daughter wants mine when she gets her first car...we'll see by then whether it is still around

If your 2.7t is a TIP, yes.

Default mine was 1800 miles away. grabbed a southwest flight and

set aside a week to correct any issues with the dealer.

Default I bought mine off ebay. I'm in CA, it was in FL. Go for it.

Of course mine still had warranty remaining, and I had it checked out beforehand...

Buy a ticket, have it checked independently (of the seller, if a dealer) and drive it home!
