so is GIAC the only company to make a Tip chip? where is the OEM tip chip located?
so to chip the ECU chip will make the lag go away, then what does the tip chip do that the ECM chip doesn't? im confused again. speaking of chips...chips and dip sounds good right now...

Might want to get in touch with Neb, I think I remember him saying the tip chip didn't help the lag.
Just made the shifts more precise and hold at higher rpm? perhaps I'm wrong and will be stoned to death.......

Some Reasons to Buy Tip chip
Faster shifting in both auto and tip mode.
Recalibration of torque limits so that you tip ecu will not go into super scary limp mode from torque generated by some engine chips.
The above reason is probably 95% of why most tuners offer detuned software for the tip.

Yeah Griffy, listen when I speak... the chip doesn't help with the lag...
well not enough for me to notice anyways. I can't really say how good or bad the chip upgrade was for the tip since I did them together. You'd probably notice a bigger difference since you're chipping independent of the engine tip. All I know is that chipping the engine and tip made the car a whole lot faster.
