Stage 3- Spark Plug BT: Already STFA'd, are Autolites to be avoided?
I realized I have some time tonight, so I need to pull the trigger on some plugs.
From the archives:
"The correct plug is an NGK, Double Laser
Platinum (meaning it has two platinum points, but is not like a splitfire). Number is PFR6Q and the NGK stock number is BRK6EIX 6458."
And, Napa also has an Iridium NGK, number 6418, which goes for 8.00 or so.
On the other hand, Autolites has a $ 3.99 platinum offering.
What are people running in Stage 3- cars? Thanks in advance.
I've also found these pages:
<a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2205997.phtml">One choice for plugs</a><ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2295540.phtml">Another choice</a></li></ul>

This is the b5rs4 and b5rs6plug so I would say they are a good choice. I run them also.
although I thought the part # was pfr7q?<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2206001.phtml">right here</a></li></ul>

Thanks for the feedback. Here are the pages I found about those units....
...as well as a standard plug that I keep coming across.
<a href="http://www.sparkplugs.com/results_cross.asp?pid=PFR7B&x=28&y=6">PFR7B</a>
NGK Double Platinum 4853 PFR7B $11.71
Double Platinum plug, 14mm, 3/4" reach, 5/8" hex, gasket seat, resistor, projected tip, extreme long life double platinum, fine point platinum on center electrode, platinum tip laser welded on ground electrode.
<a href="http://www.sparkplugs.com/results_cross.asp?pid=PFR7Q&x=45&y=10">PFR7Q</a>
NGK Double Platinum 7963 PFR7Q $11.71
Double Platinum plug, 14mm, 3/4" reach, 5/8" hex, gasket, resistor, projected tip, solid terminal, extra long life, fine point platinum on center electrode, and platinum tip laser welded on ground electrode,
<a href="http://www.sparkplugs.com/results_cross.asp?pid=BKR7E&x=45&y=11">BKR7E</a>
NGK Traditional spark plug 6097 BKR7E $2.24
14mm, 3/4" reach, 5/8" hex, gasket seat, resistor, ISO length, projected tip, V-power (v-grooved center electrode)
I guess it comes down to which of the above napa has.
Thanks, skid!
Notes: The gap for a one range colder plug is .028, and torque is 22ft lbs/30 N*m

Nice old DMM chocks and flex Friends..
This reminds me I have a full wall rack gathering dust in a back room.
Actually, I was at Hueco on Sunday - I swung it before a seminar I ran in Las Cruces... I was wearing the company polo and had rock rash on my left arm.... very classy.
Thanks for the pun.
