Default Stock ECU for allroad 4.2

Anyone know if there is a reason that a S6 or S4 ECU (4.2l engines) could not replace the allroad's board? This would add more power will being "stock" in a sense.

Default The S6 has a different engine.

APR offers the code through DPP that gets it up to S4 levels.

Default the plug in may be diifferent...the cam and timing are different..

the air and fuel are as well.. ECU swaps are not generally plug and play.

Default Asked the dealer to flash my ECU with the S4 code

He said Audi would not allow it because the allroad was approved (emissions, etc.) based on stock tuning (or detuning in this case).

I'm going with the <a href="http://www.goapr.com/Audi/products/ecu_upgrade_b6s4.html" target="_blank">APR DPP</a>.

Default Please tell us more about the chip

Where do you notice the biggest improvement in performance?

Can you notice a difference around town (in "D" mode)? Do you switch back to the stock program in town?

Any difference in gas mileage?

What do you like best about the chip?

What do you like least?

Where do you notice the biggest improvement in performance?- Torque above 3k is very impressive, it really makes it fun to rev the engine more

Can you notice a difference around town (in "D" mode)? Do you switch back to the stock program in town?- I always leave it in 93 mode as that is the common gas here.

Any difference in gas mileage?- not significant yet but I have my foot in it more now because it is more fun. I may get 10-20 less miles per tank not sure yet.
What do you like best about the chip?- all round improvement in performance from 1-6k
What do you like least?- I haven't found anything yet, I have been waiting for some starting issue or cold or hot weather issue but nothing yet. Not sure why I think that but it's in the back of my mind for some reason.

Sounds sweet! Do you drive in "S" mode or shift with tip?

almost always "s" mode, the tip always seems a little lame after driving a stick forever
