Strange noise coming from dash

Actually its more like 198,000km at last look. Im the 3rd owner , previous owner lived on a station ( another way of saying big farm in the middle of nowhere) so i'm guessing they would have travelled miles just to get the milk and papers .....

If it were something electrical then it would most likely trigger a DTC when you read out the
car's computer. Mechanical issues rely on your capability to listen and narrow down the element of trouble....use the force ;-)

I agree , dont think its electrical......
I checked out the archives here and it seems that there have been similar creaks emitted from the dash . Its such a weird sound, to describe it is really hard . But feel pretty certain its not elec or mech , but hey what do i know ?! I never heard of AR up until 6 weeks ago !
