Survey Question: How many have had Air Spring problems - and what were they?

Re: I wish I had a floor jack and some jack-stands.
Well a floor jack and stands are relatively cheap (jack w/4 stands perhaps $100). They're items most anyone uses/needs even if you don't work on cars yourself, at least you can change your own oil with them. Regarding the air spring; I noticed on mine that I could hear the air leak and pinpointed it even before I pulled out the soapy water. After you shut the car down, wait about 5 minutes (the exhuast should have cooled down enough by then as to be quiet so you can tune in easier to the air leak) and then use your ears/hands as your guide. In most cases they'll lead you right to the problem. When you've narrowed it down pull out your soapy sponge. If it's the bag, and you run the sponge across it, you'll see the bubbles right away.

Both sides at front developed pinhole leaks.
$800 later and some DIY and everything is good to go. I view air springs as consumables and 70K is about their life. As such my blood pressure remained pretty low when faced with raplacing them.
