Suspension mod write up, postponed....
Folks, I'm still having issues with the adjustments and don't want anyone else to try this until I full understand it..
After adjusting some more I have the front @ 4" and the back @ 4.25" in level 1 (think that might be too low and I might be giving up too much suspension)
LEvel 2 is @ F 5" and rear 5.25"
Level 4 is close to 6.5" and rear is 7"..
But the math does not add up. I have the bentley, I have their measurement points, I know that there are 24 mm in an inch and I know they want you to divide your rim width by 2 and add the distance between the edge of the rim and lower part of flare.. But that still does not add up.
You lower the number, the suspension raises, you raise the value and the suspension drops.. I have yet to figure out a pattern, but I'm trying.
The default setting that comes up of 402 is meaningless (that is not the default that your cars are setup @, it's just where that value defaults to)..
Any questions, don't hesitate to ask.. I just am not comfortable giving out this information, until I have a better handle on the values and how they change the height...
It would also help if someone would give me their stock numbers... And maybe pics @ level 1 stock
Sorry

Does anyone else have two level 1 positions ?
Everytime I clean the AR I raise the suspension to level 4 so as to clean the wheel well and suspension parts easily. As soon as I clean the wheels I lower it back to 1 to clean the body, and everytime I lower it from 4, position 1 seems nice and low. It remains in that position but if I raise it to 2 and then back to 1, level 1 is higher. It seems it has two level 1 positions.
I'll do some VAG-COM readings and try to prove my observations. Milpitas, what are the exact readings you need and where are they located ?
