Default The Swiss seem to have good taste in cars

I just spent a week in Switzerland, and not only did it seem like there were quite a few Audis in general, but this was the scene in the parking lot at my hotel last Saturday morning:

The two allroads are pretty obvious, but since it's tough to see it clearly in this picture, here are a few more shots of the farthest car on the right:

Default This has been my experience also >>>

I visit Switzerland on business a few times each year and also have friends living there - Audi drivers of course.

Some of the Swiss also seem to like big American cars. It is strange to see Buicks and Cadillacs on their roads, but I guess they are something of a novelty there.

Did you check out the A3 while you were in Switzerland? IMO that is one good looking hatchback that I have to believe will sell well here when AoA finally starts shipping them to the US.

Default Several decades ago some of your new in-laws from Seon, Aargau

were very proud of their '56 Chevy V8. But then they grew up -- Hans-Rudi has long had M-B cars and Max, who long ago had a famous (within the family) wreck in an early Mini-Cooper, now usually has BMW 3-series wagons.

Default Saw lots of A3s. Also saw

lots of classic American cars ('57 Corvette, Thunderbird, etc.) because there was a car show in town (Lucerne) last weekend.

Default No, it was in Burgenstock, overlooking Lake Lucerne, but

then again, all the older Swiss hotels (that I've been in) look pretty much the same. I was only in Zurich long enough to make a flight connection, but I found the time to stuff myself with those amazing Sprungli truffes du jour.
