Default Thinking of making a switch to 02 2.7t allroad

I currently drive an 01 s4 with a few aftermarket goodies. I have child who is growing and the wife wants another...so what to look for but an allroad. What kind of things should I look for in a used model? What is the most common problem? I do appreciate the help.
Car is 02 tip 2.7t with 35,000 and asking 29,900

Default Make sure its a CPO from an Audi delaer...

The price seems to be a bit high.. I use the "completed items" that have sold on E-bay as my guide. Good Luck!!

Default As we have seen.. Even CPO is no guarantee.

Read up on what a CPO is to be. then check list etc. It may be a good idea to have the car checked independantly. As dealers do, at times, FALSE CERTIFY a car. Make sure your dealer has a good rep too.

Default 2002 was a great year for the ar as bugs were worked out by then...

...and it came with steering wheel controls, heated seats F&R, memory seats L&R, compass.

Check for body damage, like any other car, and for how it was driven (chipped?). Check service history. No special problems for the '02 MY.

I go for my 40K-mile service next week and my copy has been flawless. I bring my own Mobil1 0w40 for the oil changes, though.

From what I understand, 30K is a good price for a well-maintained low-mileage '02. Check KBB, Edmunds, and NADA.

Just last week, I purchased a 2002 with 11.8K miles on it for around that price. It's a fantastic car to drive.

Default '01 bugs? Am I the only one with rotor and tip lag issues...?

I haven't been aware of any '01 specific issues, nor experienced any...

IIRC, there were some ECU/TCU issues on the early ones & generally more tip lag complaints.

Ah...my TCU was replaced. Lag more livable, but still there. No ECU problems though.
