Tiptronic issue
I have a TDI Allroad with the tiptronic box. 109K on the clock. Occasionally when I first start it in the morning and I put it in reverse to back along a driveway, when I then put it into D, all the PRND bars light up (they don't flash). When I then turn off the ignition and start again, all is OK. Transmission can be a little sluggish but generally good. There was a small transmission leak spotted when I had a tire changed recently, could a slow loss of fluid be the cause? I'm assuming that given it's intermittent, that's a good sign?

All 4 usually light up when the trans in in limp mode. This will reset when you cycle the ignition.
I would make sure it has enough fluid, first off. If you have no record of the last trans fluid flush, might as well do a filter and fluid. Hopefully the leak is from your pan, and you can kill two birds with one stone.
If you have VAG-COM, or someone nearby does, run a scan to check for tranny codes.

Transmission leak
Note that: in this transmission has three different compartments of oil. On the Front right side you have the Front Differential (80W90 oil) in the rear end of the transmission has the central differential (also 80W90 oil) And in the center of the transmission has a transmission fluid
