Tire confusion....

Tire confusion....
and I have already searched...
I have my stock 17s which I run snow tires on and a set of 18s for the summer. Both need new tires.
I seriously considered new wheels (19s) and tires for this summer but I can't make a decision and it is getting warm out.
I was debating between putting snows on my 17s or my 18s for next winter if I upgraded to 19s. Now I am thinking of putting a good all season on the 18s and using them this summer and then for winters. That way next spring I can still buy 19s for the summer and then have the 18s for winters.
So what allseason tire do I get for this summer and then winters going forward? My real confusion is that I want an aggressive tire for the summer but will need a solid all season for the winters. Any opinions are greatly appreciated.
thank you-

17 > 18s in snow, plus will be cheaper to run, + you could get something for the 18s resale...
plus allseasons in place of summers is a big compromise. If you have to the only tire I would consider would be Pirelli Pzero Nero M&S.

I guess someone has to be the voice of reason....
In the back of my head I knew all of that but I figured any forum that can justify a 500hp wagon might make me think I had a good idea.
I need to get the 18s refinished and if I do that I should really just keep them for my summers probably too.

19"s are way superior to stock, handle great, ride smooth, wear well..
Although I ran mine through the Minnesota winter I would not recommend it. (I can stay home when it snows.) The Yoko's go through anything but corner & stop poooorly in snow. The Yokohama Advan S.4. I put on 22k ago still look like new. Tire Rack has a great survey to consider as well as track tests.

Data

The best 4-season tire out there is probably the Nokian WR
The Nokian WR is really the only all-season tire widely available in the USA that performs acceptably in the ice & snow of winter. It's great for areas that don't get alot of snow.
