Trip Computer Question...
Immediatly after filling my tank I always reset my trip computer (MPH, MPG, Time etc.) and trip odometer.
Even though I always get about 300 MPG per tank, it indicates I have 400 miles to go on the tank. This is obviously not accurate.
It seems like I might have to adjust the fuel consumption using the VAG, but I've read people usually adjust this between 5%-10%. It seems to me that I would be adjusting near 25%! Is this wrong?
Thanks in advance for any info provided.
Regards,
Gavin

Ditto. Info:
on 10/22 I filled up with 18.157 gallons (15 miles remaining, 292 on tank).
on 10/28 I filled up with 18.004 gallons (25 miles remaining, 279 on tank).
Same gas station. Is it fraud?

It seems to me that the miles to empty is based on fairly recent
usage calculations, not necessarily the whole tankful. If you're like me and you don't drive as hard when you're close to the bottom of the tank, that might explain why it's reading 400 after you only got 300 from the tank.
